IT LOOKS LIKE 2011, will certainly bring change since Uranus, known as the” planet of change” will move into the sign of Aries starting in March. The sign of Aries represents action, or being actively inspired. Hopefully, that is where we will all find ourselves throughout this year—being inspired to make positive changes both personally and collectively.

Pluto in Capricorn continues to take us through our global transformation asking for patience, resiliency and conservatism. The earth itself continues to go through climatic change that has, and will continue to, create strange weather patterns putting some locations on the planet in jeopardy, and these situations seem to be pulling humanity together bonding into a deeper brotherhood.

Look for some dramatic advancement in medicine thanks to Aries influence this year. There will be new breakthroughs in research and development, and we might hear of new medicines that have met approval of the FDA. New surgical techniques might be tested and eventually utilized, and countries will share more of their research with one another. Towards the end of the year, health care reform takes on new meaning.

The financial market might hold some bullish allure but don’t be duped because it will pull back again in the summer putting everyone back into the unknown regarding money and savings. Real Estate might finally see some significant activity this summer, but it won’t go back to its over-inflated high value of a few years ago. Maybe this is the year of acceptance that the housing market has truly corrected itself.

Spring Equinox 2011 could be considered the first day of this year due to a planetary alignment in Aries which represents all things new. Prior to 46 BC the new year did begin with Spring Equinox, but then Julius Caesar changed it to the Egyptian Solar Calendar that began with January 1st. This spring will bring events that can help us get out of old comfort zones, and perhaps we all might be forced to make uncomfortable changes that alter our course but take us in the right direction.

Summer is full of interactive pursuits, even seeing people coming together after years of separation. Everyone seems to be connecting through the technological highway, and it will continue to expand this year even more. June and July are full of news that will spread like wildfire through the lightening speed of communications. Then in August there could be some misconnections and interpersonal misunderstandings when Mercury goes retrograde for the second time — April being the first when short-circuits occur figuratively and perhaps literally.

The fall seems to be a time of more work and less play, a period of building, nose-the-grindstone, investing in our own future. Perhaps this could be called a period of adjustment. This also applies to all relationships. November and December is a time to open the heart and mind, and enjoy the results of that effort. Christmas might be measured more in heartfelt moments, than in material gestures. The last quarter of 2011 is a time to communicate, share, and forgive. This allows us to use the healthy side of Scorpio’s influence which can deepen the bonds of humanity.

It might seem as though 2011 comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. But throughout the year events conspire that open us up to change — our mind, our lives and our future. It is a time that we can learn some valuable lessons in patience, prudence, flexibility, and empathy. We are asked to remember that life is a gift, and the stars offer us guidance and direction.
